The Temple College Chorale will present a concert of classical choral works titled “Light and Darkness” on Sunday, Nov. 12, at 3 p.m. in the auditorium of the Mary Alice Marshall Performing Arts Center.

The concert theme explores the way various composers paint light and darkness with music. The program will include “La nuict est froide et sombre,” “O Nata Lux,” “Ah, Behold the Dark of Night,” “Lux Aurumque,” “Lux Aeterna” and “Omnia Sol.”

The concert will feature a special Reunion Choir of alumni from Temple Junior College choirs from decades past. The Reunion Choir was the brainchild of former choir member Stan Hanes, who wanted to put something together to honor their conductor, Larry Guess. Guess will lead the Reunion Choir and Wayne Bachus will serve as accompanist. Any TJC choir alumni who are interested in participating in the choir may contact the current director, Dr. Sara Harris Baker, at sara.baker@templejc.edu for more information.

Tickets are $5 general admission or free with Student ID.
