Two Temple College student ensembles will give free lunchtime concerts the week of November 27.

On Tuesday, Nov. 28, the Temple College Jazz Combo will perform at 12:30 p.m. in the Jackson-Graeter Backstage Theatre, which is located in the Mary Alice Marshall Performing Arts Center. The group will perform standards from the jazz repertoire, including pieces by Duke Ellington and Miles Davis. The Jazz Combo is directed by Dr. Benjamin Irom and includes Hector Mexquitic, trumpet; Nicolas Trujillo-Castelblanco, alto saxophone; Joe W. Hawkins, guitar; Kathy Haisler, piano; Andrea Butler, bass; and Zachary Zajicek, drums.

On Thursday, Nov. 30, the Temple College Saxophone Ensembles will also perform at 12:30 p.m. in the Backstage Theatre. A quintet will perform an arrangement of Mozart’s Quintet in B flat, K. 174 (Allegro) by Temple College graduate Matthew Wittman and a quartet will perform pieces by Cervantes and Gabrieli. The Saxophone Ensembles are directed by Colin Mason and include Alvaro Azua, Nicols Trujillo-Castelblanco, Jeremy Cabrera, Jordan Trowell and Izaac Baggerly.
