Temple Police Chief Floyd Mitchell and City Attorney Kayla Landeros will speak at Temple College this month as part of a Leadership and Civic Engagement Series sponsored by LULAC Council 4735, the Temple College Social Sciences Department and the City of Temple.

Mitchell will speak on Thursday, April 14. The topic of his presentation will be “Legislative Process, Law Enforcement, Employment and Educational Opportunities.”

Landeros will speak on Thursday, April 28. The topic of her presentation will be “City Government Laws and How They Work.”

Both presentations will begin at 1 p.m. in the Leopard Room, which is located in the Pavilion on the east side of the Temple College campus off S. First Street.

The presentations are free and open to the public.
