In Partnership with McLennan Community College
Temple College and McLennan Community College have formed a distance-learning partnership program to offer students an opportunity for a career in Radiologic Technology. MCC’s two-year Associate Degree in Radiologic Technology program curriculum prepares students to become Radiologic Technologists by competently performing the entry-level skills of a radiographer.
In an effort to reach out demographically, the program utilizes a distance hybrid alternative delivery method. Students apply to McLennan Community College and are considered MCC students, but the use of a two-way interactive communication tool allows students to complete a large portion of the didactic courses at the Temple College campus. All financial aid benefits are awarded through McLennan.
All students, regardless of demographics, are considered for admission to McLennan Community College and the program based on the same requirements. In addition, once accepted into the Radiologic Technology Associate Degree program, all students are expected to travel to the MCC campus in Waco for program activities, testing, and laboratory classes. All program students will travel to the program’s affiliated clinical sites as assigned.
After successful completion of the two-year Radiologic Technology Program, students are awarded an Associate in Applied Science degree and may apply to take the national registry exam administered by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT). This program is accredited by the Joint Review Committee on Education in Radiologic Technology.
If developmental courses are needed to meet the Texas Success Initiative requirements, they must be completed prior to applying to the program.
